I’ve had time to reflect on my life lately as I’ve gotten older and basically, I want peace in my life. That might mean different things to you but what this means to me, is simply no bullsh*t in my life! I’ve grown in my professional career and know how to do my job well. Half of the BS will be from work life and half from my personal life. And as time has gone by, I’ve noticed less BS in my life from when I was younger. I’m a teacher on the Insight Timer app so I put together the things that I’ve experienced that has really put peace into my life. Below is a sample of the audio course. You can listen to it’s entirety with a free trial to the app. But it’s also free to sign up without a premium subscription. Here’s a quick outline of what I’ve found to bring peace to my life.

  1. The Appeal of Anonymity: Life is Better When No One Knows Anything About You
    • When I was younger, social media was very early and I participated and shared what I could. But now it’s the opposite. I’d rather not be seen on social media. This doesn’t mean you have to be completely hidden, but there’s ways to tone it down a bit.
  2. Mastering Your Emotions: A Calm Mind Can Handle Anything
    • Think about how true this is. When you remain calm, you can tackle just about anything and likely be successful. If you’re all angry and raging, you will not think clearly and could have some catastrophic results
  3. Nurturing Healthy Relationships and Eliminating Toxic Ones
    • You hear this all time, eliminate toxic people from your life. But how do you do it if they’re people that have to always be in your life? There are techniques to think through this.
  4. Achieving Work Life Balance
    • We live to work, and we work to live! That sounds terrible doesn’t it? The bottom line is, you’ve got to find that perfect balance because you want to be sure you enjoy your time when you’re not working. But you also want to be sure you’re successful in your work life so you can sustain your personal life.
  5. Simplicity as a Lifestyle: The Essence of Minimalism
    • As humans, we are always consuming in many forms. If you’re able to have a minimalist mindset, your consumption is less. This simplistic lifestyle is a great way to bring peace to your life.
